Special Edition Hogwarts Trunk – Ravenclaw Edition

While not a Ravenclaw fan myself, this Special Edition blue Hogwarts Trunk is nice to look at.  A friend of mine that happens to be a Ravenclaw bought this one recently.  The blue and stained wood of the 4 bands really make this trunk style pop like the Slytherin trunk.  Although the liner I saw is different than pictured on the Keene/Fx, she feels the new liner is actually an improvement.  I will add her photo very soon.

Special Edition Hogwarts Trunk – Gryffindor Edition
Ok, so you all know I’m a Slytherin and reviewing the Gryffindor trunk is the most difficult to do in a neutral manner.  However, with that being said, the Gryffindor version of Hogwarts trunk is well made as well.  Again, it has the leather handles and 4 dark banded wooden ribs as you can see.  In my opinion they don’t stand out as much as say the very cool Slytherin and Ravenclaw trunks.  But, for a true Gryffindor fan, this trunk is a must have.  The one I have seen in person has the same liner as is pictured.

Special Edition Hogwarts Trunk – Slytherin Edition

Ok, so as you know I had already purchased the regular Hogwarts Trunk when it originally came out.  However, when I saw this beautiful Slytherin Green Hogwarts Trunk, I had to have it.  The Slytherin trunk is the same size as the regular trunk, however this one is of course painted green and came with a 4 oz. bag a Wizard Wonder Beans.  The Wizard Wonder Beans are Jelly Belly jelly beans and there are many more flavors and beans here than in Bertie Botts.  It also came with the 12 travel stickers, plus a Slytherin crest sticker.  If I really bang the trunk up (which I don’t think I will), I can always use the stickers to cover up the damage, haha.
The trunk looks much better in person than in the photo and has an aged or ‘antiqued’ feel about it that I really enjoy; and it even smells good (sadly can’t attach smells on blogs).  The lining I received is the same as pictured, but I hear that it is now different.  Keene/Fx told me that that liner was no longer available to him.  This is definitely a must have for any Slytherin!

I wish I could get another Golden Snitch Window Splat…!!

 HOGWARTS TRUNK by Keene/Fx

Finally someone made a real steamer trunk for all my Harry Potter gear.  The Hogwarts Trunk by Keene/Fx found on Amazon.com  It is all wood and brass, (no cheap cardboard, like the crappy WB DVD set!),  holds all of the hardback Harry Potter books, plus Beadle the Bard, all the double disk DVDs and wands etc.
It is a beautiful cherry wood stained box, with an aged or antique feel to it (but still very solid), and is lined with a nice faded maroon damask design.  There is a leather handle on either end (which are not meant to be weight bearing with all the  books inside).  It also comes with 12 Harry Potter themed travel stickers, which will be fun to give it that ‘well traveled look.’  Some of the stickers include Hogsmeade Station, Godric’s Hollow, etc.
Video coming soon.
This is a must have for any Harry Potter fan!  I’ve got to hand it to Keene/Fx for making such cool stuff!

Golden Snitch Window Splat by Keene/Fx

Ok, so someone got the smart idea of making a Golden Snitch look like it was imbedded in a windshield.
The Golden Snitch Window Splat is a fully sculpted snitch with the bottom cut off and attached to transparent cracked glass static cling.
I was at first hesitant about putting it on my back windshield as indicated, fearing it would fly away as soon as I got on the highway, but that did not happen.  In fact (as the description suggests) I drove up to 80 Mph and it didn’t move a bit!

Quidditch Quaffel

I totally ran into this Quaffel by accident at my cousin’s house in Florida!  Initially I thought it would be poorly made, unfortunately, like a lot of Harry Potter gear.  However, this Quaffel is excellent!  It appears to be made of leather, and is actually made of a very thick foam, not too heavy, not brittle and very fun to hold and throw around.  We played an impromptu and very imaginative form of Quidditch for hours; highly recommended.

Magic Beans!

So it's been awhile, but I found some cool stuff at HarryPottersAttic.com! For instance, the above pictured item "Weasley Wizard Wonder Beans." If you're a fan of jelly beans, or a fan of practical jokes they come in fantastically tasty flavors like: toasted marshmallow, dark chocolate, centipede, skunk spray, and the always breath freshening rotten egg! ...but no worries, there's always the "toothpaste" to wash it down!

My favorite has always been to leave an inviting bowl out when friends and family come over...sit back, and enjoy the conversation while I quietly watch their faces. It always starts with the brow furrow, moves on to the slow chew, then what happens next just depends on the person. BUT, it is always funny! So, purchase and enjoy! I highly suggest them!
